Maison Barbotin
About the Winery
Maison Barbotin (also trading as Natol) is one of the oldest wine houses in the Charentes region, founded in 1964 by Jean and Bernadette Barbotin. Now in its fourth generation of viticulteurs-récoltants, the estate spans 67 hectares cultivated using sustainable agriculture (agriculture raisonnée). The house specializes in Cognac and Pineau des Charentes, with their Pineau having won multiple Gold medals at regional and national competitions from 2015 to 2020. In January 2020, Maison Barbotin received a prestigious Prix d'Excellence from the French Ministry of Agriculture. The house emblem is the petit-gris snail, symbolizing their commitment to taking time to produce products of great quality in harmony with nature.
“Historic Charentes house since 1964, producing award-winning Cognac and Pineau des Charentes across 67 hectares.”
