About the Winery

Maison Cavaillé is a historic family-owned wine merchant founded in 1949 in Aix-les-Bains, in the Savoie region of eastern France. The company was established by Jean Cavaillé, from a family of winemakers from Béziers, and has been instrumental in developing the wines of Savoie. Today, the fourth generation, led by brothers Laurent and Jean-Christophe Cavaillé, continues the family tradition. The house represents approximately 500 selected winemakers and offers 1,500 wine references, with Savoie wines representing 30% of their activity. Laurent Cavaillé serves as President of the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins de Savoie (CIVS). Maison Cavaillé features two brands: Jean Cavaillé for Savoie wines, and Cavaillé for châteaux and vineyards from across France. They organize numerous events including tastings, wine evenings, and trade show appearances.
