Château de la Crée is a historic estate in Santenay, Burgundy, founded in 1431 on the land of Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy. The estate's 1.5-hectare vineyard in Santenay—Clos du Château—is planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate's 15th-century vaulted cellars provide an atmospheric setting for tastings. Today, Château de la Crée is part of the Domaine Serene group, which also operates in Oregon. The estate produces wines from Santenay and Beaune appellations, including Premier Crus. The wines are crafted with meticulous attention to terroir, reflecting the diverse soils and exposures of the Côte de Beaune.
