About the Winery

Château Franc Mayne is a 7-hectare Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate located in Saint-Émilion. The property features 2 hectares of underground galleries in ancient limestone quarries where wines are aged in oak barrels. The vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils, with vines averaging 30 years old. The estate produces approximately 23,000 bottles annually, aged in 60% new barrels and 40% one-year barrels with manual harvesting. The estate offers tours all year round by reservation, open every day between March 15 and November 15, and Monday to Friday between November 15 and March 15. Annual closure from December 21 to January 2. The estate also operates the Relais Franc Mayne guest house, offering visitors the opportunity to stay overnight. Experiences include tours of the quarries, tastings, and the unique combination of winemaking heritage with limestone quarrying history.
