Domaine de la Baume
About the Winery
Domaine de la Baume has been carrying on a viticultural tradition for more than a century in the small village of Servian, between Béziers and the medieval town of Pézenas in Languedoc-Roussillon. Founded in 1882 by Jean Prat the elder, the visionary took over the estate which had been lying fallow since the phylloxera outbreak and restored 100 hectares of vineyard within 20 years. After several changes of proprietor between 1947 and the present day, Joseph Helfrich, CEO of the Grands Chais de France group, took over in 2003 and established its international recognition. The estate produces authentic wines for authentic wine-lovers, sun-drenched wines that have won over 50 medals in 5 years. The wines are firm favorites across all 5 continents, celebrating conviviality and love of the land through typical southern wines.
“A historic estate in Servian, Languedoc since 1882, producing authentic, award-winning southern French wines enjoyed across 5 continents.”
