15 Rue Marey Monge, 21630 Pommard, France

About the Winery

Château de Pommard is one of Burgundy's most iconic estates, founded in 1726 and home to the Clos Marey-Monge, a 20-hectare walled monopole vineyard situated at the foot of the Pommard hillside. The estate's unique terroir features complex soils that give its wines remarkable depth and character. Since 2014, the estate has been owned by American entrepreneur Michael Baum, who has invested heavily in modernizing the winery while maintaining traditional methods. Under cellar master Emmanuel Sala, the estate adopted organic and biodynamic practices. The wines are celebrated for their power, elegance, and aging potential. Château de Pommard also features a world-class art collection and serves as a beacon for wine tourism in Burgundy, open daily from 10am to 6pm.
