About the Winery

Domaine Quivy is located in the heart of the old village of Gevrey-Chambertin, housed in a charming 18th-century private mansion listed as a Historic Monument. The estate has existed for several generations and is owned by Gérard Quivy, who took over his wife's family domaine in 1980 after practicing law. He is now the 4th generation winemaker at the estate. The domaine totals 7 hectares of vineyards including prestigious Grand Cru sites in Charmes-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin, as well as Premier Cru 'Les Corbeaux' and various Gevrey-Chambertin Village appellations. The estate farms their old vines organically. In the cellar beneath the house, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and barrels, then the wines mature for approximately 20 months in French oak barrels made by Francois Frères. Annual production is around 24,000 bottles of exclusively Pinot Noir.
