Domaine Joliet
About the Winery
Domaine Joliet is a beautiful family estate unique in its location at the summit of the village of Fixin in Burgundy. The Joliet family has owned the Manoir de la Perrière since 1853, and Bénigne Joliet remains the sole and exclusive owner. The estate has a monopoly of 5 hectares adjacent to its property, the 'Clos de la Perrière,' a Fixin 1er Cru that has always been at the head of Burgundy's finest vintages. The Manoir de la Perrière was founded in the 12th Century by the monks of Cîteaux. Today, Bénigne's daughter Camille works alongside him and will eventually succeed him in running the domaine. The estate is known for its long aging periods, though they have shortened slightly in recent years to approximately 18 months. The wines are celebrated for their elegance and ability to age gracefully.
“A historic family estate in Fixin since 1853 with a monopoly on the prestigious Clos de la Perrière Premier Cru vineyard.”
