Sylvie Cazes, her children and their team warmly welcome Saint-Emilion wine lovers to share this haven of peace. In 2014, Sylvie Cazes, of the famed Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages, crossed the river to purchase Château Chauvin, a 15-hectare property that has been a Grand Cru Classé since 1955. Sylvie's arrival prompted a major overhaul of the estate in both the cellar and vineyard. The vineyard comprises a single block surrounding the château, planted to 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon on soils that echo Pomerol.
