Overview
Wagram stretches along the northern bank of the Danube, east of Kamptal. The region is defined by its deep loess soils, which give wines a distinctive texture, richness, and spicy character. It is one of Austria's most important Grüner Veltliner regions.
Alongside Grüner Veltliner, Wagram is also the home of Roter Veltliner, an ancient variety that produces full-bodied, nutty whites. The warm days and cool nights of the Danube plain create ideal conditions for ripe yet balanced wines.
