Overview

The Uco Valley is Mendoza's most prestigious wine region, a high-altitude valley south of the city that has become synonymous with quality. Vineyards here range from 900 to 1,500 meters, with cooler temperatures and rocky soils producing wines of elegance and minerality.

Sub-regions such as Tupungato, Tunuyán, and San Carlos each contribute their own character. The Uco Valley is home to many of Argentina's most acclaimed wineries, producing refined Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Syrah that rank among the finest in South America.
