Overview
The Riverina is one of Australia's largest wine-producing regions, located around the city of Griffith in inland New South Wales. The flat, irrigated landscape and warm continental climate make it ideal for high-volume production and warm-climate grape varieties.
The region's greatest claim to fame is botrytis-affected Semillon, which produces lusciously sweet dessert wines. Riverina also supplies much of Australia's everyday Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, offering reliable value at every level.
