The maritime climate and tirs soils, a local sandy-clay-marl with limestone subsoil, suit a mix of international and Mediterranean varieties. Producers here have increasingly turned toward quality, crafting Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blends, peppery Syrah, and fresh Sauvignon Blanc that pair naturally with Atlantic seafood and Moroccan salads.
