Overview

Mendoza is Argentina's most important wine region, producing the majority of the country's wine from vineyards planted in the rain shadow of the Andes. The region's high altitude, intense sunlight, and cool nights create ideal conditions for concentrated, flavorful grapes.

While Malbec is the undisputed star, Mendoza also excels in Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Torrontés. Sub-regions such as Luján de Cuyo, Maipú, and the Uco Valley each bring their own personality to the glass, making Mendoza a destination of remarkable depth.
