Overview
Located just a three-hour drive south of Perth, Margaret River is one of Australia’s most compact yet spectacular wine regions. Despite producing only around 3% of Australia's total total grape yield, it commands over 20% of the country's premium wine market.
The region's unique maritime climate is heavily influenced by the Indian and Southern Oceans, providing a beautiful temperate environment that is incredibly similar to Bordeaux in a dry vintage. This makes it a paradise for producing exquisite, world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and elegant, age-worthy Chardonnays.
Beyond the vineyards, Margaret River is famous for its powerful surf breaks, ancient Boranup karri forest, and an abundance of artisanal food producers creating incredible cheeses, chocolates, and truffles.
