Overview
Lechința sits on the 47th parallel in a hilly natural amphitheatre at 300 to 500 metres. Morning mists in late summer and autumn slow ripening, preserving the aromatics and bright acidity prized in the region's whites.
Clay soils with mineral deposits and generous sunshine hours give distinctive freshness. The vineyards focus on Fetească Regală, Fetească Albă, Muscat Ottonel and Pinot Noir, producing aromatic whites and light reds.
Key Varietals
- Fetească RegalăA crisp white with green apple, citrus and floral perfume, the region's mainstay.
