Kremstal

Overview

Kremstal is a compact wine region on either side of the Danube, just east of the Wachau and Kamptal. Its vineyards grow on loess-covered hills and rocky terraces, producing wines that combine fruit richness with crisp acidity and mineral structure.

Grüner Veltliner and Riesling dominate, with the former often showing a rounder, more approachable character than in neighboring regions. Kremstal has earned a strong reputation for quality, and its wines are increasingly sought after for their balance and value.
