Overview
Ibiza is famous worldwide for its nightlife, but it also has a tiny, artisanal wine scene centered on the Vino de la Tierra de Ibiza label. Vineyards are scattered across the island's hilly interior on limestone and sandy soils, cooled by Mediterranean breezes. Production is small and quality-focused, often with organic or natural methods.
Monastrell is the most traditional red grape, producing warm, spicy Mediterranean reds. Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot are also grown, alongside whites from Macabeo, Parellada, Chardonnay, and Malvasía. Ibiza's wines are rare outside the island and prized for their authentic, beach-friendly character.
