Geographe Vineyards
Western Australia

Geographe

A small, diverse WA region near Margaret River producing elegant Cabernet, Shiraz, and Chardonnay.

Overview

Geographe is a small but diverse wine region in Western Australia's southwest, nestled between Margaret River and the Great Southern. The maritime climate and varied soils allow for a wide range of grape varieties and wine styles.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Chardonnay lead production, often in elegant, medium-bodied styles. The region is less famous than its Margaret River neighbor, but it offers excellent quality and a more relaxed, undiscovered wine-touring experience.

Key Varietals

  • Cabernet SauvignonA structured, elegant red with cassis, mint, and fine tannins.
  • ShirazA medium-bodied red with pepper, red berry, and spice.
  • ChardonnayA fresh, citrus-leaning white with subtle texture.
  • Sauvignon BlancA crisp, aromatic white with tropical and herbaceous notes.
