Overview

Cafayate is a sub-region of Salta in the stunning Calchaquí Valley, with vineyards planted at elevations exceeding 1,600 meters. The thin mountain air, intense ultraviolet light, and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts create wines of remarkable purity and concentration.

This is the spiritual home of high-altitude Torrontés, a white grape that achieves extraordinary aromatic intensity here. Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon also excel, producing wines with vibrant acidity, fine tannins, and a distinctive sense of place that has made Cafayate one of Argentina's most sought-after wine destinations.
